A KEY PLAYER IN THE INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM

Founded in 1960, CETIAT is an independent French organisation with the status of an industrial technical centre, i.e. a public-interest organisation with a public service mission.

CETIAT fields of excellence include: fluid mechanics and air handling, thermal sciences, acoustics, and metrology.

CETIAT carries out collaborative actions defined by its member companies: among them are the manufacturers of ventilation systems, air handling units, fans, heat exchangers, air filters, heating and air conditioning systems, etc.  Collaborative actions include research projects, standardisation work, analysis of regulations and of certification rules, technology watch, and dissemination of information. They are financed by members and interested partners who jointly own results.

CETIAT also offers personalised support to clients (testing, calibrations, expertise, training) through services directly requested and financed by each of them, including work of a confidential nature and producing results that remain the property of the client.

By supporting industrial innovation, CETIAT is a major reference in the industrial ecosystem, in France and abroad. Its expertise is in line with major societal challenges, such as the increase of energy efficiency, the development of renewable energy sources, the improvement of indoor environment (indoor air quality, thermal comfort, noise), the sustainability of systems and the safety of operators and users. It therefore plays an essential role in strengthening the competitiveness of the industry, creating bonds between industry and research.
