The 39th AIVC conference: "Smart ventilation for buildings" was held on 18 and 19 September 2018 in Juan-les-Pins, France. It was also the 7th TightVent conference and the 5th venticool conference.

Conference Scope

Energy and climate goals have been shaping many countries’ policy and legislative agendas in the EU and beyond in the past decade. The building sector plays a crucial role in achieving these goals, considering the energy use attributed to buildings and its huge potential for improved energy performance.


17 January 2017, Workshop, Lyon - Renewable heating and cooling systems for buildings

The objective of this workshop was to discuss and identify ways to better secure the compliance of renewable heating and cooling product data, as well as the quality of installed systems, thereby increasing the confidence in declared values on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and achieving the expected energy performance.

Three aspects were specifically addressed:

The 13th AIVC Conference - Ventilation for Energy Efficiency and Optimum Indoor Air Quality, was held in Nice, France, 14-18 September 1992.


23-26 October 2002, Conference, Lyon - 23rd AIVC Conference

The 23rd AIVC and Epic 2002 Conference (in conjunction with 3rd European Conference on Energy Performance and Indoor Climate in Buildings), Energy efficient and healthy buildings in sustainable cities", was held in Lyon, France, 23-26 October 2002.


20-22 November 2006, Conference, Lyon - 27th AIVC Conference

The 27th AIVC and 4th Epic Conference, Technologies & sustainable policies for a radical decrease of the energy consumption in buildings, was held in Lyon, France, 20-22 November 2006
