The main purpose of this workshop was to present and discuss the evolutions in the national regulations related to summer comfort and cooling:
- In terms of standards for achieving good summer comfort
- For improving energy efficiency during the summer period
- Regarding building solar control
- Regarding amortisation and dissipation techniques
- Regarding night time ventilation for passive cooling
- Regarding (free) cooling techniques
Also, to reply the following questions :
- What are experiences with compliances of regulations?
- What are major trends in the type of systems used?
- Is there a framework for the assessing of innovative passive cooling and low energy cooling systems?
